One word can change someone’s day!

One word can change someone’s day! We all have heard this, but Wordle took this to the next level.
It’s the new trend that has kept Netizens on the hoop. Ever wondered words could drive a trend, but this is reality it has driven people crazy. Wordle is a game of vocabulary in which players get six tries to deduce a word of the day, and what’s amazing is that everyone on this planet is on the same boat, which means the same word to everyone. After solving the enticing puzzle of the day, you can also flex on social media. Now, isn’t this exciting?
But, do you know how this began?
Well, this is very interesting because Wordle is a love story! Yes, that’s right. Josh Wardle knew how much his wife loved playing word games and he gave her a beautiful gift consisting of their last name (Wardle to Wordle) ‘Wordle’. This was their ‘kind of game’ which got famous within the circle of their friends and family since it made its way to social media. It didn’t take much longer to reach the next 2 million people and precisely no one might have thought that this project would take the world by storm and not to forget with great achievement and success comes great responsibility that’s what Josh Wardle feels.
Now, how Wordle became The Wordle
Long story short, because of social media. People started sharing their results on social media, and soon this caught the attention of netizens. What next? Wordle became a viral addiction. As the saying goes, the less you get, the more you need. This free game is only playable once a day, i.e., once every 24 hours, and then you get a new word. The flexing culture made Wordle a viral game. The cleverest bit of its social media presence made the popularity possible, going from an initial 90 players to over 2 million players.
Wordle from Wardle’s to New York Times
Wordle has been around since 2020 but only got famous in the late 2021 after getting a shoutout from the New York Times. The New York Times did not delay any further after recognising the buzz that Wordle created. This famous game was bought from Josh Wardle at a cost of approximately 1 million.

But as it is said, the creator is a creator. Josh Wardle had built this game with lots of love and after Times purchased it, netizens could easily figure out the loss in essence of the game since the one word for all ideas had changed to the same letters but different words.

The New York Times didn’t take much time to understand and soon hopped in to rectify it.
The social media that once applauded the game now calls on The New York Times.
